Banners that are hung across a street or avenue must be supported by
one or more cables. Mounted in this way, the stress of wind
pressure is supported by the cable and not the banner itself.
The right and left bottom end corners of the banner should be lashed to a
support or be supported by cable.
Securing the bottom corners will prevent the banner
from furling
over the top cable.
Air pockets can be introduced
into the banner reduce wind stress.
