What is
Dye-Sublimation?
Dye-sublimation is a printing technology which dyes polyester fabric by
releasing heat-activated gases which bond with the fibers, resulting in a
brilliant finish with photographic quality which is also weather resistant
and washer safe.
How is it accomplished?
The actual process involves printing a digital file on
special paper, using our large format Roland printers, and then
heat-pressing the images to fabric using a large format rotary heat press.
What is the result?
The end result is remarkable! Brilliant full-process
color at 720 to 1400 dpi, from simple to highly complex designs, printed on
several standard polyester fabrics or other specialty fabrics.

Dye-Sublimation Polyester printed flags and banners are
priced by square feet, percentage of coverage, whether single-side,
single-reverse, or double-side.
A dye-sub print is a digital print using
special dye-sublimation inks for outstanding color.
Dye-sub prints may also
be used in combination with sewn and appliquιd nylon flags and banners.
For
banners larger than standard sizes, we can print multi-panel configurations,
in perfect register, seamed together.
|
Please Note
We print on white polyester
fabric
with
dye sublimation ink, therefore adding color to a white fabric.
In terms of pricing, in
most cases, this means that it is less expensive to print 50% coverage than
100% coverage. When we evaluate your digital art, we will take this
into consideration. |

We suggest that you consult our section on
